What gets recorded

Each pageview carries the path, referrer, screen size, and a browser, OS and country derived server-side from the request. Nothing is read from the device beyond what a browser sends to any server.

Sessions are grouped by a rolling window of inactivity rather than by a stored identifier, so a returning visitor tomorrow is a new session and not a tracked individual.

The dashboard sections

Overview is the summary. Visitors breaks down by source, country, device and browser. Journeys shows the paths people actually take through the site, Funnels measures a sequence you define, Goals counts the events you name as outcomes, and Revenue attaches money to them when a payment provider is connected.

Why this never matches GA4

It will not match, and neither number is wrong. GA4 is removed by content blockers on a substantial share of traffic, samples large reports, and withholds rows for privacy thresholds. A first-party script is not blocked the same way and counts sessions by different rules.

The GA4 tab puts both series on one axis so you can see the gap and watch whether the ratio between them stays steady. A steady ratio means both are working; a moving one means something changed.
